Splendid villa to rent in South East Sardinia with private swimming pool and luscious garden. The villa is surrounded by an enchanting mature garden with lots of Mediterranean shrubs and mature trees. The position of the villa makes it ideal for anyone looking for a very relaxing holiday possibly car-free. Villa Dharma is in fact located at just 300 m from a gorgeous white sandy beach, Genn’e Mari. The nearest supermarket, bar, restaurant and pizzeria are approximately 100 m away. Everything can be reached on foot. However, should you decide to rent a car to explore the many natural and historic beauties that South Sardinia has to offer, Villa Dharma also offers the benefit of off street parking. The water in the pool is salted which makes it healthier and more suitable for people with sensitive skin or allergic to chemicals.
The accommodation of Villa Dharma is on two floors. The ground floor is composed of:
dining living room with fireplace and access to a large covered veranda that overlooks the luscious garden and the pool. This veranda is really like an open dining-living room. The veranda also has a built in barbecue and a full shower room (the blue one in the pictures). There is also an outside shower room.
The first floor is composed of:
3 bedrooms (two double and one with bunk bed)
2 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is en-suite to the master bedroom.
The master bedroom and the room with bunk beds have French doors to a shared veranda from where you can see the sea.
The third bedroom also has an independent entrance.
Torre delle Stelle.
Torre delle Stelle is an environmentally protected area and its beauty has been enchanting visitors since it was created about 40 years ago to the point that it has now become one of the most sought after areas of South Sardinia. It has 2 easily accessible sandy beaches, Genn’e Mari and Cannesisa and a few sandy and rocky coves that can be reached by boat, with a canoe or swimming.
Shops, bars and restaurants.
There are shops, restaurants, bars and pizzeria in the village. However, since Torre delle Stelle is only partly inhabited all year round shops and restaurants are not opened every day of the year. They are usually opened 7 days a week from early May to end of October whilst for the rest of the year the open from Friday to Sunday included. It is therefore possible to stock up with groceries and food during the weekend or else go to the supermarket on the way to Cagliari which is a mere 15 minutes drive. Beach bars are opened from June to September. The bar near the villa is however opened from Easter to October.
The nearby sandy beach is absolutely gorgeous and the sea is very safe for children. I have been holidaying here since my youngest child was 6 months old and my eldest 3 and I still believe that it would have been difficult to find a better location for us. My son enjoys fishing on the rock formation which can be found on both ends of the beach.
Amenities and what to do…
Snorkelling and scuba diving are a real delight in both beaches. Torre delle Stelle also has a scuba diving school that amongst other things organises deep-sea excursions for experienced scuba-divers. A real favorite in the area is an ancient was whip located 1.5 miles away from the beach and 56 m down the sea.
Other amenities in the village include: tennis courts, football pitch, basketball grounds and playground.
Torre delle Stelle is situated on the South-East coast of Sardinia. Cagliari, Sardinia’s main town and its airport are 37 km away. Villasimius and its wonderful beaches are less than 20 km away.
