Walnut Tree House is a stunning 6 bedroom family home located in an idyllic location in the pretty village of Nether Westcote. Wonderful light and airy rooms, both upstairs and downstairs, with views over a large enclosed garden, perfect for children with views over open fields. On entry to the property there is a large stone flagged boot room with down stairs WC. This leads to a reception hall which features a large open fire place. Off the hall is the kitchen/breakfast room, drawing room and children’s TV and play room, plus a study area.
The drawing room is light and airy with large windows overlooking the back garden and the games barn. The room enhanced by the open fireplace and wonderful contemporary furniture.
The Kitchen is a beautiful open plan area with stone flooring, featuring an island/breakfast bar, an AGA and electric oven, double sink, a table and seating. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, a plasma TV, the portable Wi-Fi and a washing machine and tumble dryer hidden in a build in cupboard.
The children’s TV/play area just off the kitchen has two large sofas, a large TV and all the toys you could wish for! Featuring a wood log burner with exposed brick work surrounding the fireplace, it is a great place to relax.
Up a wide staircase is the master bedroom which is a light and airy room with an en-suite and a balcony overlooking the back garden. There is plenty of storage and two additional chairs. The en-suite has a bath with shower head, shower, WC, sink and a heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2 has 2 single adult beds (currently a children’s bedroom) and has built in wardrobes for plenty of storage space.
The landing takes you up a few steps to the third bedroom which currently has a single bed and a cot, however, the owners do have a double bed which they can put in this bedroom.
Bedroom 4 has a zip and link bed which can be either a double or a twin room. This bedroom has an en-suite with shower and views over the back garden. It also has a connecting bedroom. A twin good quality truckle beds which are also suitable for adults.
Family bathroom has a bath with shower head, shower, WC, sink, a heated towel rail and a large mirror and plenty of lighting.
Up a narrow staircase there is a double bedroom, shared bathroom (shower only) and additional family bedroom room with a double or a twin and a single bed. All of the 2nd floor rooms have exceptional views over the back gardens and friends beyond.
Garden and Grounds:
Walnut Tree House has a gravel car park with plenty of parking for several cars. Please note that there is a full time lodger the small barn conversion opposite, they will be on hand to answer any questions during your stay and has excellent knowledge of the local area. Part of this barn is set up as a games room with table-tennis for the use of guests only.
By the children’s play room, there is a small stone courtyard which is a beautiful sun trap! With patio furniture, it is the perfect place to send the evenings.
There is also a patio area and a BBQ at the back of the house by the kitchen and the study, with plenty of seating for a number of guests, as well as a picnic bench in the garden.
The enclosed garden is the perfect places for children and adults to play! With a tree swing, trampoline, jungle gym and football net. There is also a garden shed with all the garden equipment you could need!
The local pub ‘The Feathered Nest’ is excellent and furthermore only a short walk away!
