Two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with a double bed and a single bed, that can be changed for bunk beds for larger families.
Large open plan living area, with kitchen, dining area and fully equipped utility room with second toilet. Upstairs bathroom with large walk-in shower.
Fully equipped large terrace, with views over the surrounding hills. Large barbecue with charcoal supplied for your first couple of sessions.
Feature open fire, with wood supplied for the winter months, and electric radiators in all rooms. Fans are supplied for comfortable sleeping in the summer.
We ask that you don't smoke in the house, but supply an ashtray on the terrace.
Well behaved pets are very welcome, but please bring their bedding and dishes. For their safety, dogs should always be walked around the village on leads.
We supply sheets and towels, but ask you to please bring beach towels for seaside or river swimming.
This is a very friendly little village, with only 66 permanent inhabitants. However, during the summer, this grows to well over 100 or more!
Everything necessary for a great holiday is within an hour's drive of the village, including beaches, shops, sightseeing, attractions etc. However, apart from our little restaurant and wine shop, there are no shops in the village, so please stop on the way to do your shopping.
A great area for walking holidays, mountain biking or just simply relaxing with a glass of the local wine and a good book!
There are plenty of mountaintop Cathar castles to explore in the area, and the beautiful Cité of Carcassonne is just over an hour away. The city of Perpignan is a similar distance away, with its market along the canal and ancient buildings to visit.
A bit further afield is the Canal du Midi, where you can take a barge trip to see some of the wonderful views along the way, where bright blue dragonflies dart along by the edge of the water.
Just 3 km from the village is the source of the River Berre, with its little pool, The source runs all year round at a temperature of 20 degrees.
Set at the edge of a tiny French village, known as one of the "Lost Villages of the Corbières" our house is on two floors, with a fabulous 20 square metre terrace, complete with large barbecue and outdoor furniture.
There is a dishwasher, and sheets and towels are provided. However, please bring your own beach towels.
If you are bringing your pet, please also bring their bedding and dishes.
Meals are available, for take away or for eating in our little restaurant just 2 minutes walk from the house. Booking essential. WIFI connection is also available at the restaurant.
