Dogs are more than welcome downstairs only, and there is a 4 dog kennel in the garden if required. The village is very dog friendly and there is a popular walk opposite the house around the church. There are also plenty of walks around Rutland water and in local woodlands.
The house has parking outside for 10 cars behind the electric gates and would be an ideal choice of accommodation for parents visiting Uppingham, Oakham or Oundle schools.
This mini spa house is located two miles from Uppingham, four miles from Oakham and just a 20 minute drive to the Burghley Horse Trials venue. Nestled between several beautiful and historic towns and famous for the large reservoir of Rutland Water there is plenty of beautiful country side to relax in and enjoy. Rutland is the smallest county in England but with plenty to offer.
Uppingham boasts a wide selection of great restaurants and bistros - perfect for large gatherings. The Market Square hosts a trio of venues; The Falcon Hotel, Don Paddys and The Vaults Inn between them catering to all needs and gastronomic wishes. There is also a fresh market on Fridays.
Oakham, like Uppingham is a historic market town and houses many similar style restaurants and pubs. In particular The Nelson has a very good menu and selection of wines to choose from. A very worthwhile visit is The Grainstore brewery and public house (next door to Oakham train station) offering many draft ales brewed on site and not to be missed.
2 hours driving from London via M1 and only 40 minutes by train to Corby, Peterborough or Market Harborough stations. Stamford has several high street shops and restaurants and is a again a popular historic town. An extremely popular event is the Shakespeare Festival held during the summer months.
This property is just a couple of miles from Rutland Water. An area which provides the whole family with entertainment from walking to cycling, water sports, rock climbing, golf and plenty fine eateries.
Rockingham castle is 15 minutes away and here you can find horse trials, dogs shows etc and glorious weddings are hosted at the Castle so this house would be ideal accommodation for friends or family attending any of these events.

Smoking is not permitted in the House but is outside. Use of ashtrays would be appreciated.
The pool room is used at own risk and glass is not permitted in this area. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the pool without an adult.
