The cottage is within the grounds of the former rectory of How Caple with Sollers Hope now called Garraway House. It lies on the c classified road from How Caple to Hoarwithy and Kings Caple, a turning in the village from the B4224.

The drive to the house is on the right about one mile from the B4224 and is marked by a triangle of grass and a sign advertising our Miniature Donkey Stud. Gardener's lies at the top of this drive.

Junction 3 of the M50 is 3 miles from How Caple. Ross-on-Wye is 5 miles, Ledbury 8 miles and Gloucester and Cheltenham 16 miles. Birmingham , Cardiff and Bristol airports are all within easy reach.  Mainline trains to London can be caught from Ledbury, Gloucester and Newport.

Golf can be found at the Ross Golf club just off junction 3 of the M30, at Belmont in Hereford  and at Chepstow and Celtic Manor,  Newport. There is a Public Tennis Court at Brockhampton, one mile from How Caple. Canoeing,  Horse-riding and pony trekking are advertised in the cottages.
