Eventful Stays Ltd (hereinafter called ‘the Company’) recognise the importance of protecting the privacy of certain general information (‘General Data’) and specific personal information (‘Personal Data’) collected about our clients (hereinafter called ‘the Owners’) and respect the privacy of the Owner. This Privacy Policy includes information on what material is gathered, how it is used, and how to correct or change it. It is the intention of the Company to reassure you on how any information is collected and how it is used in the course of the business of the Company.

Data protection

The Company has ensured that its policies, procedures and its operating practices conform with legislation operating within the European Economic Community (the ‘E,E,C.’) and with the European Directives thereunder and with the legislation in force in the United Kingdom including (in Europe) the EU Telecommunications Data Protection Directive and the EU Data Protection Directive. The United Kingdom legislation includes the Data Protection Act 1998, and the Telecommunications (Data Protection and Privacy) (Direct Marketing) Regulations 1998 and the Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practise) (Interception of Communications) Regulations 2000. The Company continues to ensure that all policies etc comply with any changes in law or regulation with reference to your privacy.

The Company process and store data which is needed to fulfil its contractual commitments to the Owners and for credit assessment, for marketing and to comply generally with any legal obligations with which it has to comply under this Agreement.

Data accuracy

Effective measures will continue to be in place to ensure that data is accurate and entirely up to date in relation to the Owners. Where any inaccuracies are discovered, these will be corrected and where it is inaccurate the data will be deleted. Where data is no longer required or is outdated and serves no useful function, that data will be disposed of in a secure manner. The Owners will be advised if any of these events are contemplated. If data is obtained on the Owners other than directly from the Owners, the Company will notify the Owners as soon as practical after the Company has entered the said data in the files or computers of the Company.

The Owners have the right to examine all data which the Company holds on it. Such access shall be granted in accordance with the requirements of UK legislation and the Company reserves the right to make a charge against the Owners to cover the administration costs incurred. Where any discrepancies are discovered following the examination, immediate steps will be undertaken to correct the records and the correction will be confirmed in writing within ten (10) working days.

How we use cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information that a Web site can send for record – keeping purposes. This information will be stored in a file on the Owners’ computer. Passwords or credit card information is never saved in cookies. The use of cookies is common and most major Websites use them.

The Company reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time and the new version will be posted on site. The Company will notify the Owners of the change and the new version of this Privacy Policy will take effect and will govern the Terms and Conditions between the Company and the Owners.

The Company will retain personal data on the Companies only as long as it is necessary for the purposes to which consent was given under the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy and then it will be deleted.
