One of the most popular holiday destinations in the world, Spain offers visitors a diverse range of things to see and do. Visitors can soak up the sun in one of the many beach resorts dotted around the coast, explore the beautiful landscapes of rural Spain or enjoy a city break in one of its vibrant cities such as Seville, Barcelona or Madrid.
Spain offers a wealth of cultural attractions and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, from the breath-taking Alhambra Palace in Granada to the unfinished Sagrada Familia, a large Roman Catholic Church in Barcelona which was designed by Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudi.
The main beach resorts are situated on the Costa Blanca, the Costa del Sol, the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada, where you will find long sandy beaches and a choice of family attractions, aquariums, museums and amusement parks.
The weather in Spain varies widely from extreme high temperatures reaching over 35°C in the south in summer to freezing conditions inland during winter. Winter in the south is generally mild although temperatures usually drop significantly in December and January.
