Selva is situated 32km from Palma de Mallorca in the district of Raiger.

At the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, Selva is surrounded by olive groves, plains and open landscapes.

The Gothic Church in Selva dates back to the 13th century and is dedicated to the village’s patron saint, Saint Lawrence.

The town includes the historical districts of Camarata, Valella and Puig which were founded by Christian settlers in the second half of the 13th century.

Selva is a perfect destination for holidaymakers who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the busier resorts and enjoy rural Mallorca at its best.

For nature enthusiasts, a short hike up to the Hermitage of Santa Magdalena is highly recommended, and offers stunning views down to the coastlines of Alcudia and Pollensa.

The Selva Herb Fair at the end of June is well worth a visit. Learn how to use fresh Mallorcan herbs in recipes and drinks with plenty of free samples.
