Moraira is one of the Costa Blanca’s most desirable towns and attracts holidaymakers from all over Europe.
Once a small fishing village, Moraira is situated between Denia and Calpe. While still retaining much of its original charm, Moraira has modern facilities, sandy beaches and a wide choice of traditional and modern restaurants and bars.
Water sports are offered on most beaches. Recommended day excursions include: Adventure Costa Blanca, the mountain top fortress of Guadalest and the Aqualandia water park near Benidorm.
Rocky coves and a picturesque harbour make this an attractive resort for families and the town has a wide choice of colourful events throughout the year.
The ‘Moors and Christians Festival’ is held every June when people line the streets to watch the lively processions and listen to the bands playing. Firework displays and battle re-enactments are held in the town centre.
A traditional Spanish market is held in Moraira each Friday.
