The less developed neighbour of the Costa Del Sol, the Costa Tropical is famed for its excellent year round climate, hence its name.
This 80km stretch of cliff lined coastline in the Granada province is less developed than its neighbour, with a smattering of towns and villages lining the coast. The area is quite mountainous, with towns and village often perching on the cliffs and the mountains beyond. The seaside towns here are much less 'Brits abroad' and much more popular with the locals. This is where you get to experience real Spanish holiday resorts, yet within an hours drive of the Costa Del Sol should you wish to up the pace a little during your stay.
