Once the capital of Islamic Spain, Cordoba is a city simply brimming with history.
Everywhere you turn there's something new to explore. From the beautiful arched Mezquita, the huge mosque from which point the beautiful Jewish and Moorish quarters sprawl into pretty lanes to the north of the city, to the stunning gardens of the Alcazar, there's so much to see here.
Climb the Torre de Calahorra at the end of the stunning Roman bridge for breathtaking views of the city, enjoy a stroll around the botanic gardens and of course any visit to Cordoba is incomplete without a visit to Callejon de las Flores, the most famous flower filled street in the city.
There's lots going on here from the Patios festival, Battle of the Flowers and Cruces de Mayo in May to the Cordoba Feria which combines great food, sherry, flamenco, tradition and above all lots of fun.
