Calella de Palafrugell is an attractive town on Spain´s Costa Brava in the province of Girona.
A choice of six beaches attract holidaymakers and several attractive villages are within walking distance if you want to explore.
Two water parks can be found nearby – Aquadiver in Platja d’Aro and Water World in Lloret. Regular buses go to and from the parks from destinations around Calella de Palafrugell.
Both parks offer several water-based rides plus wave pools, Jacuzzis and food kiosks.
Well known for its rocky coves, sandy beaches and excellent fish restaurants, the town offers a vast range of attractions to holidaymakers. Cap Roig, just to the south of Calella de Palafrugell hosts an annual International Jazz Festival.
The beach at Tamariu attracts scuba divers from all over Spain, and offers great facilities and crystal clear water. Numerous small bays and coves are situated nearby with seafood restaurants and café bars.
Golf enthusiasts are well catered for with five courses within easy reach of the town. A large market is held from Tuesday to Saturday for local produce, including meat, fish, cheese and vegetables.
