You can expect to find anything and everything powered by steam at the Wiston Steam Rally. There are steam-powered vehicles such as engines and tractors, as well as fully operational machinery and fairground rides. With over 1000 exhibits the event has displays of equipment in operation and the chance to see engines working up close. The weekend also holds a vintage and classic car display, toys and models form yesteryear, along with rides at Harris’s Old Time Funfair.

Situated 5 miles away from Shoreham-by-Sea railway station at Wiston Park, Steyning, it is easy to reach the steam rally by train. You can drive to the site with parking available. However public buses are only available for the Saturday. If you are from oversees the nearest international airport is at Gatwick in London. Entrance fee to the Wiston Steam Rally costs around £7 (cheaper for children), with family tickets available for 2 adults and 2 children at £20. Opening times are both the Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 5pm. Displays in the arena will take place throughout the day. Dogs are welcomed on site, although must be on leads at all times.
