Wilderness is a festival with a difference - it’s a fun-filled celebration of the arts which takes place in the heart of nature. Set in the beautiful Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire, this four-day festival combines rejuventation with amazing musical entertainment and food. Last year’s line-up included Robert Plant and The Flaming Lips on the main stage with Andrew Weatherall, Jackmaster and PBR Streetgang amongst those flying the flag for electronic music. With sunrise meditation, wild swimming in the park’s lake and archery contests all on offer to refresh your mind and body, this is a festival that will leave you entertained and rejuvenated.
Wilderness takes place from 12pm on 3rd to 6th August 2017. Early Bird and Lazy Bird Tickets are sold out but you can still get general release tickets here. If you’d like to pay for your tickets in instalments, Wilderness offers a Deposit Scheme which allows you to pay a deposit of £35.60 and pay the rest in four monthly instalments. The festival happens at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire, around 70 miles from London. If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station to the festival site is Charlbury, to which trains depart from London Paddington on a regular basis.
If you want to wake up early for your sunrise meditation followed by a naked swim in wild waters, Wilderness is renowned for being the festival where you can do just that. But it also has plenty to stimulate your mind - take part in debates on topics such as whether Boris has broken London or listen to talks from the experts at Alain De Botton’s The School of Life and The Economist. If you’d like to perfect your ukelele playing, you can take lessons at Wilderness. You should also be prepared for some real culinary delights - last year’s festival included Raymond Blanc serving up a feast at the famous Chef’s Table.
