Held in Olympia in West London, The Adventure Travel show is a two-day event where you’ll find out everything you need to know about travelling off the beaten track. Featuring inspirational talks from those who have undertaken some of the world’s most daring adventures, overcoming extreme challenges along the way, these intrepid explorers will encourage you to take that trip you’ve always dreamed of. With seminars on travel photography and writing, a travel film festival and expert advice on how to plan your next adventure, you’re sure to come away with a long list of ideas for your once-in-a-lifetime expedition.

The two-day show is open from 9am to 6pm on Saturday 20th January and from 9.30am to 5pm on Sunday 21st January. Located in Olympia in West London, your nearest tube stations are Olympia and Hammersmith and Kensington Olympia is your nearest overground station. It’s likely that there’ll be a lot of demand for tickets so we recommend that you book them early. If you book in advance, admission is £8 for a 1-day entry and £12 for weekend entry. Under 16s can enter for free. Please note also that certain seminars, such as the Travel Writing and Adventure by Motorcycle seminars, incur an additional charge.
When you visit the show, make sure you check out the entries for the Strange World Photography Competition. No ordinary photo contest, the judging categories include ‘Extreme Selfie’, the best and funniest foreign signs and the most entertaining animal antics captured on camera. Another highlight seems sure to be the Adventure Travel Film Festival, featuring films such as the 1.5 minute short, ‘100 Tokyo Seconds’ and the 52-minute ‘Gold of Bengal’, in which our hero attempts to sail from France to Indonesia in a boat made of string accompanied by two chickens! After these adventurous tales, you’re sure to leave the show feeling full of inspiration.
