The annual golf championship attracts players from around the world and is one of the biggest tournaments of the golfing season. The format consists of 18 holes played over four days. This is the last of the four major tournaments of the year, which also include the Masters and US Open as well as the British Open. The PGA Championships have been established for over 100 years, taking place at courses across America. 2017 marks the first time the PGA Championships will have been played at Quail Hollow Club. With a total prize fun of $10m the new course is set to keep the event as exciting as ever.
The nearest airport to the Quail Hollow Club is Charlotte International Airport, which is a short 20-minute drive into centre of the Charlotte region. Tickets are available by registering online. Monday to Wednesday cost $30 (plus booking fee), Thursday to Sunday are $95 (plus booking fee). Ticket for the whole tournament are available at $295 (plus booking) and the exclusive Wanamaker Club package is $600. Children under the age of 17 are allowed in for free with a paying adult. Confirmed times will be available nearer the event, although as a guide previous championships have run between 6am and 8pm.
Book for the whole tournament and watch as much golf as possible. Arrive early on the day to see all the players tee-off. Download the mobile app to watch the footage up close, or if you’re only attending one day watch the rest broadcast live on television. The Wanamaker Club Package will provide a pavilion with additional viewing, out patio and plenty of food and drink to purchase. It is best to stay in easy access of the course due to the early start times. If you are staying outside of the Charlotte Region plan you journey before booking to ensure transport is available.
