Oktoberfest Munich

22nd September 2018 - 7th October 2018 | Theresienwiese, Munich, Germany

About Oktoberfest

If you’re a true beer fan, Oktoberfest is one event you certainly have to tick off your list. The world’s largest beer festival has spread across the globe since its inception in 1810 but the original event is still the biggest and the best. Originally held to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese, the festival’s venue still carries the bride’s name, Theresienwiese. This traditional Bavarian event serves up almost 8 million litres of beer and ale from breweries from within Germany and around the world. You’ll also be treated to some of Bavaria’s famous traditional food and folk dancing, an integral part of the festivities.
