Held in the beautiful surroundings of Our Lady of Liesse Church in Valletta, Malta Jazz Festival is an annual event known for combining modern experimentation with tradition. Welcoming artists from around the globe to its main festival and its fringe event, Malta has seen some jazz staples grace the Valletta waterfront. Snarky Puppy, Omar Avital, Natalie Cole and Diana Krall have all performed at the festival. During the associated fringe festival, free midday concerts take place around Valletta, providing a great opportunity to see top-class musicianship on the city’s streets. Expert masterclasses will also be held during the fringe. If you’re a fan of jazz and amazing scenery, head to Malta for this fantastic jazz festival.
Malta Jazz Festival takes place over three days in July, principally at Our Lady of Liesse Church on the Valletta waterfront. 2016 saw the opening night being held at the City Gate in Valletta with free attendance.
