About Malta Jazz Festival

Held in the beautiful surroundings of Our Lady of Liesse Church in Valletta, Malta Jazz Festival is an annual event known for combining modern experimentation with tradition. Welcoming artists from around the globe to its main festival and its fringe event, Malta has seen some jazz staples grace the Valletta waterfront. Snarky Puppy, Omar Avital, Natalie Cole and Diana Krall have all performed at the festival. During the associated fringe festival, free midday concerts take place around Valletta, providing a great opportunity to see top-class musicianship on the city’s streets. Malta Jazz Festival takes place over three days in July, principally at Our Lady of Liesse Church on the Valletta waterfront. 2016 saw the opening night being held at the City Gate in Valletta with free attendance. Head to the official festival website for full details of the 2017 line-up and fringe programme as soon as they are released. If you’d like to attend the jazz festival, fly in to Malta International Airport in Luqa. Tickets for the paid concerts are €30 for a reserved seated place and €20 for a standing place.
