Now in its fourth year and firmly established as one of Portugal’s foremost city music festivals, Lisb-ON Jardim Sonoro is a three-day electronic music extravaganza which takes place in the city’s iconic park, Parque Eduardo VII. Jardim Sonoro, which translates as Sound Garden, has welcomed an impressive list of dance music legends, including Nina Kraviz, Carl Craig and Moodyman with Dixon and none other than DJ Harvey headlining in 2016. The event is a daytime-only festival so make sure you book your ideal accommodation on Eventful Stays so you’ve got a great place to recharge in between headliners.
This popular music festival takes place over three days in the beginning of September in one of Lisbon’s most beautiful green spaces, Parque Eduardo VII. If you’re travelling by metro, the closest station is Marquês de Pombal with bus numbers 747, 748, 748 and 751 also passing by the festival site - you can plan your journey here. The doors open each day at 2pm, with the music starting at 2pm and lasting right up until midnight. The event is becoming increasingly popular so make sure you get your tickets early. Both day tickets and full three-day passes are available - find out more about how to get your tickets here.
Although the park gates close at midnight each night of the festival, the fun certainly doesn’t end there. An impressive range of after-parties will keep your body moving until dawn. On trend bar Topo and top clubs Ministerium and Vértice are amongst those serving up Lisbon’s best DJs to make sure the party continues until the sun rises. Make sure you keep your wristband on you for free or discounted after-party entry. Also be aware that, like many European festivals, Lisb-on Jardim Sonoro uses a cashless payment system so you’ll need to top up your wristband in order to buy drinks, food and merchandise at the festival stalls.
