Now moving into its fifth year, the Lighthouse Festival is an intimate electronic music festival held in a beautiful secluded location in Porec in the Istrian region of Croatia. A little-publicised underground festival, this three-day event is known for its inclusive atmosphere and the friendliness of its audience. It also sells out extremely quickly in part due to the fact that it attracts a stellar line-up of electronic artists. Last year’s festival included Black Coffee, Jimmy Edgar, Kim Ann Foxman and Jackmaster amongst a packed roster of top-name musicians and DJs. Keep an eye on the official website for the 2018 line-up.
The Lighthouse Festival takes place on Lanterna Porec, Istria. For its fifth anniversary, the festival is operating an ‘invite-only’ policy for most of its tickets due to its huge popularity and its limited capacity of 3,500 people. Therefore, if you’ve been to the festival before, you’ll get first refusal on tickets. If you haven’t been before and you’d like to attend, don’t worry - sign up to the website and you may be lucky enough to get one of the tickets that have been reserved for new visitors. Entry tickets cost in the region of €179 - there will be full details on the website nearer the festival date.
With the tagline ‘electronic music on vacation’, Lighthouse is one of the more exclusive of the Croatian dance music festivals. Not only do you get to party in the sea to some of Europe’s most high-profile tech house and techno superstars, you also get to relax in the midst of some of Istria’s most breathtaking natural scenery. The festival includes boat parties, acrobatics and stunning light shows in a visually and sonically superior setting.
