Across Liverpool a number of venues take part in Light Night Liverpool, the city’s evening curation of art events. There is something for everyone with a varied array of shows, installations and exhibitions. Past events have seen everything from arts and crafts, to photography and live graffiti, experimental films and avant-garde stage productions. With Liverpool having previously been awarded the European Capital of Culture, the location lends itself as a perfect setting for the event. Light Night first took place in Leeds in 2005, before other major cities joined along with Liverpool hosting its first event 4 years later in 2009.
