Leadership for Growth Conference Breaking the barriers to healthy church growth This one-day conference will help you build teams that can break through barriers and grow your church beyond 100 and 200 people, advancing God’s kingdom, and making disciples who make disciples.  It will help you to: 1.   establish clear foundations and refine your direction2.   identify and eliminate immediate barriers to growth3.   Develop your team and team-working processes4.   Explore a stewardship strategy that can help to take pressure off your finances Speakers Richard Wightman has led New Life Church for 14 years, and seen it grow from 175 people to over 700 people. He has a background as a senior manager in the railway industry, managing a turnover of £1.6 bn per annum and 900 plus staff. He is passionate about developing and releasing leaders and equipping the church with spiritual life, systems and processes, all to enable spiritual growth in depth and numbers. Sharon Clark has been the Operations Manager at New Life Church for the past seven years. Her experience as both a freelance and staff editor/writer helped her hone project management skills and develop a wide knowledge base. Her wide portfolio of responsibilities includes overseeing the office and finance teams, the New Life community action programme, Ridgeway Centre conferencing and events for the Catalyst network of churches. Who should attend To get the most from this conference it is best to attend as a leadership team. The pricing therefore encourages this. It is particularly important for the senior pastor / senior leader to attend. This conference will be about helping you to run the race well together, not about how to persuade the senior leader to get on board!  Pricing (which includes lunch) (Price per group from the same church) Standard prices are shown below, but book before the end of July and get a 40% Super Early Bird price (select the discounted option on the ticket page) 1 person - £50 each      = £  50 total 2 people - £42.50 each = £  85 total 3 people - £36.67 each = £110 total 4 people - £32.50 each = £130 total 5 people - £28 each      = £140 total 6 people - £25 each      = £150 total If you wish to bring more than 6 people, please email us and we will send you a paypal invoice. Each additional person will be charged at £15.00. Accessibility The Ridgeway Centre has five accessible parking places available for disabled badge holders. These are located to the left of the car park in front of the building. Cancellations Tickets cancelled up to and including 31 October will be refunded in full. Because we have priced the tickets as low as possible and need to commit to suppliers, tickets cancelled after this date are non-refundable. However, transferring your ticket to another delegate is allowable. Please inform office@newlifechurchmiltonkeynes.org of any transfers so we can adjust delegate badges, etc. Future plans The conference is a stand-alone event, but we will also use it to test the appetite for more regular events to support churches in developing though all the necessary growth stages from under 100 to over 800 plus. These would include some teaching, some working out the application to your own situation in teams, and some spiritual input. Over time this would be likely to include: Clear foundations Mission, vision and direction Strategies, goals and objectives including developing them, agreeing them, and reviewing them Values – developing them, agreeing them, and living them out Leading yourself Leading others and discipleship Leading teams including meeting management Organisation and planning including action and review cycles, change management & organisational design Governance including principles, finance, fund-raising, risk management and employment
