About the Henley Royal Regatta

The Henley Royal Regatta is one of the leading UK rowing events, attracting visitors and competitors from around the world. Having been established in 1839 and taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Henley on Thames, this is a highly prestigious event that is not to be missed.

With around 300 races spread out over 5 days, competitors compete on the mile long stretch of water across 20 separate events. Queen Elizabeth II is the current royal patron of the event, with the races often attracting members of the royal family in attendance.

Nearest airport is Heathrow, situated 20 miles away and can be reached in less than half an hour by car. Online tickets are available in April 2017, although you can contact the office Monday to Friday on +44 (0)1491 572 153 for more details. The schedule will be confirmed nearer the time, with the first race of the day starting around 9am, the last heading into the evening.

If you are driving to the event or arriving by boat, parking spaces and moorings can be booked in advance. Upgrade your ticket to include the stewards’ enclosure, where you will be able to meet the crews whilst taking advantage of the food and drink available, or go for the less formal Regatta Enclosure, open to the general public.
