About the Henley Festival, Henley on Thames
Situated next to the River Thames the festival is quite unique in that the main stage floats on the water itself. Unlike other major festivals Henley caters for a more glamorous black tie affair, the music pulling heavily from classical and jazz.
With two more stages and a comedy tent the festival is still quite an eclectic mix, there’s music for the purists whilst Nigel Kennedy and Jamie Cullum have opened the classic appeal to the masses. Elton John has felt at home playing on the main stage, whilst comedians have included Pub Landlord Al Murray and more surreal the Boy With Tape on His Face.
