Brighton is a special place for discovering new talent, with the Great Escape festival being the musical highlight of the year. Taking place across 30 venues within the city, the festival attracts over 400 new and emerging artists from around the world. Past festivals have had names such as The Magic Numbers, Tinie Temper, Maximo Park and Bo Ningen. The Great Escape celebrates over 10 years of heavily promoting local and underground acts trying to break through. It also incorporates an industry convention into the festival, attended by representatives from Ticket Master, PRS for Music and major labels such as Universal Music Group.

Brighton is a short train ride from London and easy to reach from elsewhere in the country. London Gatwick airport is only a 30-minute journey. The 30 stages at the 3-day event are all within walking distance of each other, situated in the city centre and along the sea front. Weekend tickets are available for £60 adults, or £32 for 16 and 17 year olds. Both tickets give you access to all venues, subject to capacity, across all 3 days. First bands will be due on around 11am/12pm with certain venues continuing until midnight.
