The annual film festival takes place in Birmingham over the course of a week-long celebration of the big screen. With all mediums covered, the Flatpack Film Festival includes amateur films alongside documentaries, animated shorts, music videos and much more. Previous festivals have also incorporated multi-media events. Recent films such as “Miles Ahead” starring Ewan McGregor and Don Cheadle have been shown alongside world cinema, locally produced and avant-garde pieces. The festival first took place in 2006 and has since grown to an important date within the emerging talent of the film industry. There are also workshops and awards on offer.
