Christmas at Kew

1st December 2017 - 31st December 2017 | Kew Gardens, London, United Kingdom

About Christmas at Kew

Now in its fifth year, Christmas at Kew sees the Royal Botanical Gardens turned into an illuminated festive wonderland. Lit up with thousands of coloured lights, you can follow the trail of lakes and trees which are totally transformed into musical light shows to get you into the Christmas spirit. There will also be a funfair with a helter skelter, carousel and other traditional family rides. Let the mulled wine and roasted chestnuts keep you warm, while the kids get excited about spotting elves and visiting Father Christmas. You won’t miss out if you can only visit by day as there will still plenty of festive activities available.

Making the most of Christmas at Kew

It’s highly recommended that you wrap up warm if you’re planning to attend Christmas at Kew. The event takes place outdoors and, although there’ll be plenty of hot chocolate and mulled wine to warm up, you’ll certainly want to bring your scarf. Other highlights are the marshmallow-toasting, romantic mistletoe cave and singing holly bushes which greet you along the illuminated trail. Although this is a very popular way to get into the festive spirit, the timed nature of the trail means that it doesn’t feel too crowded and you can really take your time and enjoy the spectacular displays.
