About the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival (Dates to be confirmed)

Celebrating local produce along with street food from around the world, the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival returns to Cardiff Bay. Located just outside the Wales Millennium Centre, around 100 local and international companies bring their products and cooking skills to the city.  The majority of the stalls at the Producer’s Fayre and Farmer’s Market are run independently, giving those attending the chance to sample and buy in a friendly and passionate environment. The weekend also has two stages of live music to add to the festival vibe, along with craft stalls to complete the community aspect of the event.

Helpful information about the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival

Cardiff Airport is the nearest to receive international flights and is half an hour away by car and easy to reach by train. It is easy to reach the city by train and there is a regular shuttle bus Cardiff Central to just outside the Millennium Centre. Attending the food and drink festival is free. The site is open from 12pm to 10pm Friday, 11am to 10pm Saturday and 11am to 7pm on the Sunday. The Farmers’ Market and Craft Stalls pack up between 7pm and 9pm, the live music is on all day until 9.45pm on the Friday and Saturday, 7pm the Sunday.

Making the most of the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival

With so many stalls to choose from there will be something for everyone. You can of course just call in and browse the stalls or make a day of it and enjoy the live music. Why not arrive for lunch, enjoy the free entertainment during the day and then try something different over dinner. Support local traders and buy some products to take home, although if you’re from oversees be mindful of any customs limitations. The Friday is likely to be less busy, or plan your visit to include a show at the Millennium Centre itself.
