About Buenos Aires Tango Festival, Rome (Dates to be confirmed)

This festival brings together dancers and musicians for a week-long celebration of the Tango.  Originating in Argentina during the 1880’s, the Tango has become a popular dance for couples from its traditional roots through to a mainstream pop-culture thanks to shows such as the UK’s “Strictly Come Dancing”.  The Buenos Aires Tango Festival in Rome is a fairly new addition to the cities attractions, held yearly at the Paro Della Musica.  During the festival, experienced dancers and beginners join forces for a series of classes, demonstrations and shows.  Among previous highlights have been appearances from famous dancers such as Daniel Piazzolla.
