Cotswolds 2One of the most beautiful places in England, the Oxfordshire Cotswolds attracts visitors from all over the world to stay in commission-free rental accommodation among scenic countryside and historic towns.

Famous for its beautiful University and College buildings plus five free museums, Oxford is everyone’s ‘must visit’ town if they are exploring England. There is something quintessentially English about punting down the river Thames in Oxfordshire.

The city sightseeing bus will take you on a tour of the city and starts at the railway station. Harry Potter fans may want to visit Christ Church (Tudor Hall was the inspiration for Hogwarts’). Take in the Bodleian Library or New College.

Oxford is also a foodie heaven and the covered market is packed with individual shops selling everything from organic meat to coffee, shoes, flowers and jewellery. The Covered Market is open to the public from 8 am – 5.30 pm Monday to Saturday and 10 am – 4 pm on Sundays.

 Property rentals in the Cotswolds

If you own a property in the Cotswolds you can rent it out commission-free? Why pay up to 18% commission when you could earn more income from using a commission-free property rentals site which specialises in event and family accommodation?

The Cotswolds is home to the largest number of conservation areas in any English region and stretches from Broadway, the jewel in the Cotswolds, in the north to the city of Bath on the southern fringes.

A visit to the north section of the Cotswolds is like stepping back in time. Wander the streets of the spa town of Cheltenham, famous for its horse racing at Prestbury Park or visit the ancient market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Camden.

Cirencester (the Roman capital of the Cotswolds), Woodstock (home of Blenheim Palace) and Painswick are also worth a visit.

The World Heritage city of Bath and the surrounds are home to unspoiled heritage communities such as Lacock and Castle Combe.

The surrounding rolling countryside of the Cotswolds with its 3000 miles of public footpaths is steeped in pre-history too. It’s an area rich in Neolithic remains, with about 80 long barrows, the remains of some 400 round barrows, and many Iron Age hill forts.

The Cotswolds is particularly famous for its ancient honey-coloured limestone, which was used to build the villages and bustling market towns. The warm, mellow colour of the communities blends perfectly with the surrounding golden green countryside — a big part of what makes the Cotswolds so breathtakingly distinct.

If you have a house to rent out in Oxfordshire or the Cotswolds, why not register with Eventful Stays and pay no commission to rent it out. We specialise in renting out accommodation worldwide close to major event venues.

Breakfast laid out on a table

Little things make a huge difference when renting out your property and thoughtful extras can make one property stand out from another, even if they offer similar facilities.

If you book into a hotel, the star rating system will give you a good idea of what to expect, but when it comes to luxury rental accommodation those little extras can make a stay extra special.
