Olympic Hockey Events
The Olympic 2012 hockey events will take place in the Hockey Centre which is located in the newly built Olympic Park and will host all Hockey events. The main pitch will be capable of hosting an audience of up to 16,000, and there will also be a warm-up pitch capable of seating 300 people.
Olympic Athletics Events
The Olympic Athletics Events are taking place at the Olympic Stadium. It is the main location for the majority of the Olympic 2012 events and shall be the venue for all Athletics events. The first team of athletes for Great Britain have been revealed for the Olympic Sailing 2012. Eleven sailors have been chosen including Ben Ainslie, who will be competing in the Finn Class having won gold at every Games since his first victory in Sydney 2000. Will he manage to retain his Gold place one more time? There seems to be a consensus among his team mates that he might, but his rivals will be sure to try and make 2012 the year they steal it back from him! We’ll just have to wait and see at London 2012, the sailing events of which will be taking place in Weymouth and Portland.
