The Cartier International Polo Tournament, held a Guards Polo Club at Windsor, has to be one of my favourite sporting events of the summer season. If you haven’t been before – Go!  It is such a treat and the highlight of any weekend. Whenever possible we book accommodation nearby so that we can enjoy a great place to stay, dinner with our friends and then up early to get to Windsor Great Park in plenty of time for a great day out.   The gates open at 10am however in reality you can sneak in before!  By arriving early you can park in an advantageously close space near to Smith’s Lawn,  set out your gazebo, lunch table and of course your bar in preparation for your guests to arrive for your picnic lunch in between the best high goal polo in the UK!
