The Tate Modern is Britain’s national gallery of international modern art and is located in the former Bankside Power Station in Southwark, London.
Tate is home to the national collection of British art from 1900 to the present day and international and contemporary art. The museum is one of the largest of its kind in the world and admission is free for access to the collection displays.
Levels 2, 3 and 4 contain gallery space and each floor is split into a large east and west wing with a minimum of 11 rooms in each.

The nearest tube stations to the Tate Modern include: Southwark, on the Jubilee line, Blackfriars, on the District and Circle Line and St. Paul’s on the Central Line.
Routes 45, 63 and 100 stop on Blackfriars Bridge Road. Routes RV1 and 381 stop on Southwark Street. Route 344 stops on Southwark Bridge Road.
Blackfriars Station is 300 metres from the South exit and London Bridge
is approximately 1,100 metres away.

Entrance to the Tate Modern is free, but there is usually a charge for special exhibitions. The gallery is open Sunday to Thursday 10.00am to 6pm and Friday to Saturday, 10am to 10pm.
