Europe’s most visited entertainment complex is located just 20 miles from Paris city centre. Spread over a huge 4,800 acres, the resort is made up of two theme parks: Disneyland Park, comprising five magical lands with the spectacular Sleeping Beauty Castle as its centrepiece, and Walt Disney Studios Park, an area devoted to Hollywood cinema and showbusiness. Of its 49 rides and attractions, the Park’s futuristic rollercoaster Space Mountain: Mission 2 and water-based ride Pirates of the Caribbean are amongst the the most popular. Of course, no visit would be complete without meeting a few of your favourite Disney characters. You’ll find everyone from Mickey Mouse to Spider Man waiting for you on Disneyland’s streets.
There are plenty of options to get to the theme park from the UK. One of the most comfortable is travelling via Eurostar from London St. Pancras International, Ebbsfleet or Ashford, arriving at the park in under three hours. The nearest airports are Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly, from which the most convenient option is to take the Magical Shuttle direct to Disneyland Paris from €16 per child/€20 per adult. There are a number of admission options, starting with a Special MINI Ticket 1 Day/2 Parks entry from €36 per adult/€30 per child. In terms of when to visit, the park is open every day of the year, although the opening times do vary according to season and so it’s best to check the official website before you arrive.
It’s advisable to wear suitable clothing for all weather; however, rest assured that Disneyland Paris offers plenty of indoor attractions for rainy days.
