Built in 2007 in 50 acres of wild woodland nestled between Hoveton and Wroxham, BeWILDerwood was the first eco-friendly adventure theme park in the UK. An enchanted forest filled with activities such as zipwires, treehouses and rope bridges, it's an ideal destination for parents who want their kids to enjoy the great outdoors in sustainable surroundings. A trip through the park is a true adventure and visitors will stumble upon an array of magical characters from ‘A Boggle at BeWILDerwood’, the book upon which the park is based. Hosting regular special events such as the Curious Crocklebog Costume Caper and Silly Sock Day, adults and children alike are sure to find some fun at this unique adventure park.
The nearest train station to the park is Hoveton & Wroxham which is located just north east of Norwich. Alternatively, you can take the bus No. 12 from Norwich followed by the No. X10/X11 from Wroxham which will deliver you straight to the front door. The adventure park is open during February half term and then from the end of March through to the end of summer. You can enter between 10am and 4pm with the park remaining open until 5.30pm. Tickets are priced according to height - anyone over 105cm will be charged £15.50 while those under 92cm get in for free!
It's like that the adults as well as the children will be climbing, jumping and swinging during your visit and so suitable clothes and footwear for such activities is a good idea. In line with its ethos of sustainability, BeWILDerwood’s three eateries supply locally-sourced food which also cater for vegans, vegetarians, and those with dairy-free and gluten-free requirements.
